Amelia Kate Sampson.

2017 - BA Fine Art Sculpture City & Guilds of London Art School

Born Buckinghamshire, 1992. Lives and works in Dorset.

Influenced by the Anthropocene epoch, Amelia Kate Sampson aims to deprecate the degenerative effects on the biosphere as a result of the Great Acceleration. Concerned by both concept and form Amelia meticulously creates both two and three dimensional artworks. Amelia concentrates her sculptural practice in the medium of stone, depicting formalistic artworks aiming to represent a geological notion of time.

Amelia exhibits in galleries and art fairs throughout the UK. Her artwork is included in private art collections such as the Tim Sayer Collection, London. In 2017 Amelia received The Chelsea Arts Club Trust Stan Smith Award, the Clyde & Co Art Award, and the Beth Gotowski Award.
