EDITION OF 3

Bella Easton is a London-based artist, curator and educator whose practice explores memory, light and architectural space through an expanded approach to printmaking and painting. Working across a range of processes including hand-coloured woodcut, copper plate etching, oil painting, collage and installation, her layered works shift between surface and immersive environment, drawing on domestic interiors, decorative pattern and fragmented architectural forms, combined through portals into the unknown.

She studied at Winchester School of Art before completing her postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy Schools (1997–2000), followed by a Printmaking Fellowship at City & Guilds of London Art School (2000–02). Easton has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, including across Europe, the US, India and Japan, and has shown regularly at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition since 1998. She is a recipient of Arts Council England funding, was selected for the John Moores Painting Prize in 2016, was awarded the Jerwood Print Prize at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2019, and in 2025 received the Cass Art Prize Art Educator Award for her large scale painting Through the Unknown, Remembered Gate.

Recent solo exhibitions include Echo Chamber & The Seeds of the Narcissi (M2 Gallery, London, 2026), Everything Flows (Enia Gallery, Athens, 2025). Other recent exhibitions and projects include Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, Black & White at Kalamata Dance Hall, Greece, Gradation at Patrick Heide Contemporary Art and Reclaim Reality at Rosalux, Berlin. Alongside her studio practice, Easton curates under BEASTON Projects and is currently developing Collateral Drawing 6, a living archive to be presented at APT, London, in 2026.
